People were asked to give a pain rating on a scale of one to ten, and the worst pain came in at 9.7
A recent study has identified what might be the most excruciating pain a person can undergo.
While we can all agree that stubbing a toe ranks among the most painful experiences, it surprisingly didn’t make the top ten in this research.
And no, stepping on a Lego brick while barefoot didn’t appear either.
Earlier studies indicated that kidney stones are among the most intense pains one can face.
In fact, a specific study found that over 78 percent of women and nearly 89 percent of men reported kidney stones as the worst pain they’d ever encountered.

However, a newer study published in 2020 challenges this notion.
Researchers surveyed more than 1,600 individuals suffering from cluster headaches and asked them to compare their pain to other conditions like fractures, stab injuries, and migraines.
