Living with his spouse Rachel and three kids in a group household with other families, including his own parents, Bernard Hibbs is one of the village’s residents who resides in Durvell.
Normally, they eat their food in a group dining room together with other residents where they also sing and worship unitedly.
Though the neighborhood had their goods seized by the Nazis at the time, the 38 year old stated everything started with people who wanted to ‘follow Jesus totally’.
He explained to Wales Online, “We fled to England and were accepted here in fact a lot of English people joined us.”
Though trying to live according to Jesus’s instructions in our daily life, the vision of those first youngsters still pulses.
Joined at only nine years old, Bernard said he cried every time he left the community.
He argued that once you do it, you see how much happy you can have living a life with no ownership, though he stressed that it is not a cult.

He admitted that some visitors have anticipated the community to be a cult. Reveal: “When they arrive, they find we are too average to qualify—there are no odd rituals, no secret handshakes, no UFOs.”.
He further said that people can come and go, clarifying that nobody is compelled to think one way, and added: “We disagree among one another on practically everything—from Brexit to how frequently we should mow the lawn.”
“We are of course occasionally accused of being a cult, but that is to be expected. In our experience, if people visit and see for themselves those concerns are easily answered.”
Being the outreach director, Bernard stands one of just a few with a computer and phone, emphasizing: “I have no concerns, no worries, no mortgage, I don’t own anything,”.
“Three hundred people have ten cars.” Should I require a set of shoes, I will ask and receive them. Same day shopping,” he pointed out.
