Sarah Carolides has revealed the signs that mean you need to cut back on coffee
Nutrition expert Sarah Carolides has highlighted the indicators that you may be consuming too much coffee.
Many of us enjoy our daily cup of coffee, whether to energize our mornings or while socializing. The National Coffee Association estimates that approximately 517 million Americans indulge in their daily brew.
It’s evident that coffee affects people in varying ways.
You may wonder why this occurs. The answer lies in our individual metabolisms.

“There are certain genes that determine if you metabolize coffee quickly or slowly,” Sarah, Head of Nutrition at Zooki, explained.
She added that a genetic test isn’t necessary to figure out your metabolism pace; you likely already know this.
Sarah elaborated: “If I had coffee after 2 PM, I would be awake until at least midnight. I’m a slow metabolizer.”
Conversely, her husband is a fast metabolizer. He can drink a double espresso after dinner and fall asleep within five minutes without any sleep disruption.

According to Sarah, who has collaborated with celebrities, business moguls, and prominent politicians, those with fast metabolisms might enjoy up to four cups of coffee daily, potentially enhancing various health aspects, including cardiovascular wellness.
On the other hand, individuals with slower metabolisms might experience adverse effects from such consumption, like increased skin dehydration.
To determine if you’re over-indulging in coffee, Sarah advises self-reflection: “Are you controlling your coffee intake, or is it controlling you?”

She said, “If you wake up and think you can’t function without your double espresso, I recommend taking a break to see how you feel.
“Do you experience headaches? Do you feel sluggish? These could indicate that you’re not metabolizing coffee well, and it’s having negative effects.”
Sarah concluded, “If you can quit coffee without issues and still feel fine, then you are in control.”
